The Vice-Rector's Office for Environmental Quality, Well-being and Sport comprises a series of units whose mission is to aid the well-being and improve the quality of life of the university community. In order to achieve this, a series of programmes will be developed with the following objectives:

  • Integrate safety and health promotion into the culture, policies, structure and processes of the Universidad de Granada.
  • Promote the creation of safe and healthy work, study and living environments.
  • Offer opportunities to learn how to enjoy a productive, rewarding and healthy lifestyle.
  • Develop strategies that include active social policies allowing educational, cultural and social conditions to be improved and a healthy balance in the personal, family and working lives of university employees and their families to be achieved.
  • Promote active participation of retired people in university life.
  • Work towards the Universidad de Granada becoming a model institution for environmental excellence and sustainability.
  • Promote and facilitate sport at all levels.
  • Improve the management and use of university residences and leisure areas.
